A lifelong searcher and learner, Matt is proud to have been an entrepreneur for the whole of his adult life. Capital Promotions, a marketing promotions company and Matt’s first customer facing business, helped shape his views on the importance of creating meaningful and enjoyable relationships with teammates and customers alike. On a parallel track, Matt pursued his passion for real estate, with a focus in the commercial and hospitality spaces. In developing or repositioning over two million square feet in the Northeast, Matt is proudest of building and owning a one hundred-room Holiday Inn Express in Albany NY in 2001.
Matt earned his degrees in Communications and Economics from Geneseo State University where he met his wife of 30 years, Kristen Esler. Together they’ve raised three reasonably well adjusted adults, and joyfully lend a helping hand with their first grandchild. A true family business, Esler Companies is proud to call Matt’s eldest daughter, Alexandra, its Digital Marketing Specialist, his second daughter, Madison, its Operations Manager at Southern New England, and his son, Jack Henry, a Proximity Marketer during his college summers.
Being attracted to the brand and values of Renewal by Andersen, Matt first purchased the Southern New England territory in 2012. His commitment to his teammates and firm belief that the workplace should have as many laughs as it does challenges has helped Esler Companies grow from $30 million of annual revenue to over $400 million in 7 years.
While Matt’s role as owner and CEO of Esler Companies tasks him with leading all areas of the business, Matt considers his real role to be ensuring that Esler Companies is the happiest, most fulfilling and final stop in our valued teammates’ careers.
