Mike Ortelle’s journey has been anything but ordinary. He’s guided by curiosity, embraces change, and always keeps people at the center.

He grew up in Petaluma, California, the former chicken capital of the world, as the only boy among six siblings. Mike began his professional career at AT&T, where he spent nearly a decade developing his sales and leadership skills. He helped launch the first iPhone and managed key retail relationships with Apple, Target, and Best Buy throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2013, Mike followed an unexpected calling: sourdough. After attending the San Francisco Baking Institute, he opened a small bakery that quickly gained local acclaim. He went on to consult for hospitality brands across the country, helping open restaurants in Minnesota, New York, California, and Colorado.

His career took a new turn when he joined Esler Companies in 2018 as a Project Consultant in Colorado. Inspired by the team culture and strong leadership, Mike found quick success and soon moved into sales leadership. In 2020, he helped launch the Central Texas market, growing the sales team from 12 to 40 Project Consultants. By 2024, he was promoted to VP of Sales for both Central and North Texas.

Now serving as General Manager of North Texas, Mike brings a never-quit mindset and a deep care for people. He believes that to delight homeowners, you must first create an exceptional teammate experience. He leads with that philosophy every day.

Mike lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife Tanya and their three kids: Stella, Mario, and Giselle.
