September 2025 – Each summer as temperatures soar, Esler teammates launch Operation Hydration, an annual, company-wide initiative designed to protect and support field crews working in extreme conditions.
Here’s how Team Esler beat the heat:
- Break rooms turned into Hydration Stations, complete with cold drinks, fruit, and electrolytes.
- Crews hit the field carrying UV Protection Bags with sunscreen, lip balm, snacks, and more.
Coolers of ice-cold water and drinks traveled from the warehouse straight to job sites.
Operation Hydration is about more than water bottles and sunscreen; it’s a way teammates care for themselves and each other to stay safe and energized, whether battling triple-digit desert sun or sticky East Coast afternoons.
These efforts were supported by Esler’s Safety Committees, who play a key role in building an interdependent safety culture. By educating teammates on the signs of heat stress and encouraging everyone to look out for one another, the Safety Committees help ensure that health and well-being always come first.
“Safety doesn’t start or stop with a single program,” said Josh Besnoff, Director of Safety. “Operation Hydration is one way we show that commitment, but the real strength is teammates holding each other accountable and our Safety Committees driving that culture forward.”
