Providence, RI – December 12, 2025 – Amos House, a cornerstone of the Rhode Island community dedicated to helping those experiencing homelessness, unemployment, and other crisis rebuild their lives, has received a significant upgrade to its Mother-child Reunification Program thanks to a collaborative effort with Renewal by Andersen during the week of December 8–12.
The Mother-child Reunification Program, located in a historic home, provides a safe haven for women and their children as they rebuild a healthy family structure. The home features 13 bedrooms and bathrooms, offering shelter and stability for 13 families in need. Beyond housing, residents also receive wraparound services including counseling, job training, and case management to help the families regain independence and rebuild their lives.
“We are honored to support Amos House and the incredible work they do for women and families in crisis. Providing new windows is more than a renovation—it’s about creating a safe, warm, and dignified space where healing can begin.”
— Greg Mazares, General Manager, Renewal by Andersen of Southern New England
As part of this renovation project, Renewal by Andersen of Southern New England donates and installed 59 new windows, replacing most of the existing windows in the facility. This improvement enhances energy efficiency, comfort, and safety for residents—creating a more welcoming environment during their transition. The upgrade also reflects Amos House’s commitment to sustainability and long-term affordability, reducing utility costs and creating a healthier living space.
“We are so grateful to Renewal by Andersen for this generous donation. New windows bring peace of mind, energy efficiency, and increased safety to this program, which provides stable housing and support for mothers and their children as they work to rebuild their families. Amos House owns 20 properties in Rhode Island, providing affordable and recovery-based housing for households who were formerly homeless. At a time when Rhode Island is experiencing a record-level housing crisis, Renewal by Andersen’s support of Amos House’s mission is incredibly impactful.”
— Jessica Salter, Chief Philanthropy and Communications Officer, Amos House
